The objective of this document is to analyze the ways in which the covid-19 pandemic affected community based tourism enterprises and the different actors that benefit from this activity in the communities located in the Chimborazo Fauna Production Reserve, with emphasis on the enterprises that have a focus on sustainability in the offer of their tourism products. A non-experimental exploratory qualitative research was carried out, for the collection of information, surveys were applied to eleven community enterprises by means of an online form. Among the main findings, it was identified that the tourism offer of the territory is not integrated or connected in an intentional way, it is important to highlight that, although the restrictions of the pandemic reduced the operation of tourism in the communities causing lower economic income and unemployment. The diversification of economic activities in the community allowed the majority of the enterprises to remain open.
